Can you imagine being mentally ill, addicted, trans, Black woman and on the streets? It doesn’t get much more vulnerable than that. Jaimie was horrible beaten in what we suspect was a hate crime.  When I say “horrible beating” I mean, Jaimie’s ulna was shattered and had to be repaired with a steel rod and pins.  She had a concussion and lacerated scalp along with the other contusions and injuries.  Soon after that she was arrested for drugs and put in prison. Because of her vulnerability and good behavior and positive attitude she’s been given the option of Home Monitoring. This is allows her to see her doctors and therapists and have the safety and support of her family. And it will cost a total of $852 or $12 a day for the 71 day sentence. This however, is a heavy burden for a family already living on disability. That is where we come in!

Whether you can help cover one day or a week, know that your contribution not only will protect one of our most vulnerable, but give her hope.  Send the message that we have not given up on her!

    To Everyone,

On behalf of Jaimie, and our family I want to thank you all for your generosity. You’ve eased the weight of the challenges we face, and while we can face anything together, your gifts have made the road ahead that much smoother.

    Thank you,
