Religious Educators Ann Richards from Mount Vernon Unitarian Church in Alexandria, Virginia and Linnea Nelson, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax, in Oakton, Virginia have combined forces to provide the third annual NOVA Cluster Teacher Training on September 9, 2017. RE volunteer teachers and religious educators are invited to attend a variety of workshops including best practices in being the face of loving kindness, using music in class, creating a strong Coming of Age class, DC area UU-related field trips, social justice projects, and more. All levels of teachers that teach classes of 2 year olds to high school seniors will find workshops to support them. Experienced teachers and newbies will be able to choose from workshops that provide just what they need.

By combining all eleven NOVA Cluster congregations we have access to the Star RE teachers, ministers and UUA staff to provide outstanding workshops. This year Pat Infante, Taquiena Boston and Shannon Harper will provide engaging keynote presentations that will help RE teachers and advisors explore Culture and Race.

This teacher training day is filled with hands-on activities and opportunities to learn from teachers in neighboring UU congregations.
