I am a candidate for ministry in the UUA who will be traveling to Boston in September to see the Ministerial Fellowship Committee, one of the final stages to becoming a UU minister.

I joke with folks that this interview is like the bar exam for UU ministers. For me this is the culmination of a five-year call to ministry. It has been an incredible journey and you can be a part of that journey!

My MFC appointment is on September 15th, 2017 at 9:15am. I need help covering the cost of travel including airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and food for this trip.

So many of my friends and family have already helped me in my path to ministry and I am so grateful! I will never be able to acknowledge all the ways in which I have been blesses in my journey. This is one more way for folks to be a part of it, one more drop in the ocean of gratitude I already owe to so many.

I asked people, “Jon may well be my next Favorite Colleague Ever, but I don’t know him. Give me a testimonial!” And Theresa Ines Soto wrote a description of you that made me think that you might well become my Favorite Colleague Ever. I look forward to meeting you in person, but in the meantime I’m honored to share this work with you and glad to do my bit to help. Rock the MFC!

With love & faith from your colleague in Palo Alto,

If ever a person deserved to be a Minister or was meant to be one, it is you, Jon. Your Open Heart, the Joy for Life in your eyes, so readable and accessible, makes you a shoo-in for the job. May you be Blessed as many times as you have been a Blessing to me and Then Some! You create the good fortune you possess. Blessed Be!
