Diverse Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM) welcomes donations in support of expanding our local and regional program activities with funds going to support honorarium for guest speakers and facilitators.
Our Unitarian Universalist Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) ministry has grown substantially and we are organizing events to engage more deeply and trainings to build more intentionally in response to community needs. Our 2019 DRUUMM Survey heard from over 140 BIPOC who expressed a desire for spaces that center the experiences of BIPOC UU, including more worship and liturgical experiences, programs that cultivate faith formation, and opportunities to grow culturally competent pastoral care and restorative justice practices.
Your support is gratefully received and will strengthen our ability to better serve our BIPOC UU community and resource the guest speakers and facilitators with meaningful honorariums through the DRUUMM Organizing Project.

Project FAQ
Why now?
After 18 months of deeper community organizing, we have doubled the DRUUMM membership from 86 to 221. We have created a network of 45 BIPOC UU groups in our congregations. Now we are intentionally and strategically scaling up our programs in response to a community survey we completed, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic are doing so virtually. Your generous support will allow us to expand quality programs and provide modest honariums to guest speakers, presenters and musicians.
How will the funds be used?
Funds will be reserved for paying honorariums to guest speakers and presenters as part of DRUUMM's Organizing Project. The Organizing Project is co-creating more local and regional programs to support BIPOC in our congregations and communities. This is an all-or-nothing campaign, meaning if we do not reach the goal, no donations will be received via Faithify.
Who will administer the funds?
The DRUUMM Consulting Minister in consultation with the project advisory committee will create a budget for expenditures.
Who is on the project advisory committee?
Current members include Ayanna Kafi, DRUUMM President, Cassie Montenegro, DRUUMM Vice-President/President-Elect, Rhonda Brown, Esperanza Garza-Danweber, William Lester, Noel Burke, Rev. Hope Johnson, Karin Lin and Luis Sierra Campos. Rev. Joseph Santos-Lyons is the consulting minister.
