- SuccessfulReverend James Reeb Hometown Memorial Mural, Casper Wyoming$10,447 RaisedGOAL $10,000 Reverend James Reeb, UU minister and martyr of the civil rights movement, grew up and began his ministerial career in Casper, Wyoming. In interfaith partnership, the Unitarian Universalist Community of Casper is raising funds for a Reverend James Reeb Memorial Mural. This unique project promotes James Reeb’s legacy, social justice, community partnerships, and interfaith engagement.
- Successful“I Hope to Find a Way Out”: Bonding out Asylum Seekers in New Hampshire$6,122 RaisedGOAL $6,000 The New Hampshire Bond Fund, a project of UU Action New Hampshire, seeks to establish a fund to bond out immigrants seeking asylum. Detainees are often held in deplorable conditions without access to family or legal assistance. Although many immigrants are eligible to be bonded out, the cost of doing so is minimally $1,500 and may be many times that.
