Help Walter Get to the MFC

Help Walter Get to the MFC

Crowdfunding Completed: September 16, 2017

Amount Funded: $1000

Project Owner: Walter Clark

Short Description of Project

Help me defray the costs of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee, an important step that ensures UU ministers are ready to step into leadership.

How was this project connected to UU?

My project will help my ministry become actualized. I have studied the history and theology of our faith and hope to bring a deep spiritual connection to any congregation that I serve. My project is more about serving Unitarian Universalism and bringing it to others.

Full Description of Project

I have been preparing to go into the Unitarian Universalist ministry since 2012. I graduated from the Meadville Lombard Touchpoint program in 2016, I served as a part time intern minister at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond under Rev. Jeanne Pupke for two years, and served as full time intern minister for 9 months at the Fellowship of the Peninsula in Newport News, VA. I spent one summer as a chaplain in the pediatric unit at MCV and was the summer minister for the Richmond congregation the next summer. Ministry has been a part of my everyday existence for the last five years.

And the next step in that journey is the Ministerial Fellowship Committee (MFC)!

Should I receive the blessing of the MFC, the next steps are ordination and search. It has been a long and wonderful journey of exploration and spiritual development. So many people that have helped to guide me during this process and I am forever grateful. Any help to offset the costs of air-fare, hotel stays, registration costs and meals will be greatly appreciated.

I will see the MFC on Thursday the 14th at 2:00pm and I will carry all of you with me in spirit.
